Allen is one of the founding Directors of Berkshire Consultancy. He has extensive experience of helping organisations improve their performance by focusing on their strategy, processes, culture and outsourced services. After an early career as an aeronautical engineer, Allen created a successful technical consultancy business before joining a major systems contractor. Here, his track record of managing change and innovation led to his appointment as Departmental Marketing Manager for a new ventures business, which included setting up partnerships and joint ventures as well as successfully tendering for new business and running competitive tender processes as prime contractor.
His consultancy experience has focused on business change including performance improvement, change management, cultural change, strategic sourcing, programme management, Public Private Partnerships, EFQM Excellence Model and other efficiency projects, in both the public and private sectors. His approach is always pragmatic, delivering lasting results and transferring skills to client organisations.
