The Children’s Hospice – Naomi House
Every month BCL donates a regular amount to Naomi House which is a children’s hospice. Naomi House provides respite and terminal care for families from central southern England. In a home-from-home atmosphere, care and support is given to families whose children suffer life-limiting conditions.

Children with Leukaemia
In July every year, we sponsor 10 children to attend the ‘Amazing Great Children’s Party’. The children, who come from hospitals, special homes and schools across the country, are given a wonderful day by a thousand volunteers, over a hundred performers and dozens of celebrities, all giving their time and talents free.

Community Partnership
Annually we advertise in the ‘Look-out, Personal Safety & Information Booklets’ which help young children in junior schools become more aware of ever increasing social problems such as drug abuse, smoking, gambling, eating disorders, bullying, child abuse, alcoholism, personal safety, running away and much more.
ASBAH
Quarterly we enter a ‘Balloon Race to help raise funds for ASBAH which is the Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus. The charity provides an advisory and advocacy services to individuals and their families.

Race for Life - Cancer research
Following last year’s success, some of the BCL ladies will be putting a team together to take part in ‘Race for Life’ in aid of Cancer Research. Last year we raised around £1200 for Cancer Research by joining in with their organised runs.
