Lean, Learn and Lead

You may be aiming to take cost out of your operations, or simply to get more from less. Either way, we have refined a very different approach to achieving this which, while not unique, does rely on some rare skills and techniques.  We call our proprietary approach Lean, Learn and Lead; this blend of skills, analysis and challenge has achieved startling results, with 30% and even 50% savings made in-year in diverse and exacting business environments.

We carefully blend ‘old school’ process analysis and improvement techniques (Lean) with latest thinking in workplace learning (Learn). In parallel we work with leaders to encourage them to lead and create pressure for change across the whole organisation (Lead). The latter two focus on the behavioural and cultural levers so that the changes derived by the more analytical work can flourish and sustain. This may sound simple, but relies on:

  • A broad skills base from having been around the block before!  We know which combinations of hard and soft skills will best build individual and team outputs.
  • Judgement and discretion on delivering the ‘art of the possible’; knowing the boundaries to stretch, those to preserve.
  • Combining the emotional intelligence of the best management developers with the efficiency snout of a cost-out specialist. This is a rare combination, but so powerful when applied well.
  • Balancing the skills in the moment and knowing when to ‘push’ and when to ‘pull’; again this is a judgement developed only from experience, and can make or break the project at critical stages.

While the approach is subtle, the impact is anything but, as a number of national awards have testified
