Joanna has over twenty years of managerial experience, having held senior leadership positions in several blue-chip companies. Joanna then worked as an independent consultant, before establishing Berkshire Consultancy Limited in 1994. She enjoys the combination of leading her own business and working in partnership with clients to develop their businesses.

During her time as a consultant, she has worked with a wide range of organisations in both the private and public sectors, within the UK and internationally, supporting them in making significant changes at individual, group and organisational levels. In the public sector her clients have included the NHS, the Cabinet Office, the National Offender Management Service (NOMS), the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. In the private sector, she has worked with businesses from different sectors including financial services, banking, telecommunications, media, high technology and software, oil and gas, engineering, retail, rental, manufacturing, and the motor industry.

Joanna has particular expertise and interest in organisational and cultural change, leadership development, talent management, integrating human resource with business strategy, diversity, achieving healthy and high performance organisations, and the development of excellent consultancy practice. Her work is based on principles of appreciative inquiry and action learning, with a blend of creativity and pragmatism. She has published a book on co-facilitation and many articles on leadership, engagement, change, diversity, talent management and the development of high potential managers.

Joanna is a certified Management Consultant and a fellow of the Institute of Business Consulting.
